Autobiography

Hiii, :) I'm Araul Yeniag. I was born in Czek but raised in the States. Currently I live in a box. The birds feed me biscuits. I have named each bird accordingly: Ohh, Pretty, and Bird. People don't particulary like me. I think it's because I throw volleyballs at their cars as they pass my lonely box.

My friend, Belac Regal, and I travel under the sea to his hometown together. It's really nice in Seashell City. His parents get quite absorbed in their coversations. I guess this makes sense being that they are sponges. Sometimes it's rather difficult to look at Belac. He has these really big teeth and holes everywhere.

Anyways, back before my school burned down during a tragic sporting event, my life was good. I lived in a dumpster then. It was warmer during the winter. My favorite teacher, Mrs. (enter Greek last name here), really had a way of teaching. Her biggest downfall however, was her obsession with blogs. A few students were sent to the hospital because of broken fingers.

I'm sitting next to Belac now. He hasn't changed much over the years. He won't quit whining about how terrible he feels. I keep explaining to him that he takes a soak he'll feel very moisturized and refreshed. No matter though, because he doesn't listen. It's not very suprising. He doesn't have ears, just holes on the side of his head.

I have now realized how often I talk about Belac. I think I'm in love with him...

President Obama

Our 44th President of the U.S. is Barack Hussein Obama. He was born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. His father was born in Kenya, and his mother was born in Kansas. His parents divorced 2 years later. His mother married Lolo Soetoro from Indonesia. There in Jakarta, Obama was taught in the Indonesian language. When Obama was ten, he returned to Hawaii to live with his grandparents. He was only the 3rd black student in his school. There he says, he experienced for the first time racism.

Rough Drafts for Issue Three

Who Dat?
8-0. I'm talking about the New Orleans Saints regular season record! The 8 stands for wins, not losses people! They have finally marched in! The Saints are averaging an impressive 37.9 points per game. The team has had a strong offense in the past few seasons with Drew Brees as quarterback, but it was about time the defense caught up. The Saints lead the entire NFL in offensive yards with 426.9 per game. They also lead in interceptions with 16. Impresseive, right? No other team in the NFC is undefeated. The Saints' next game is this Sunday at 1:00 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Who Dat?!?

Danish Homes & Dubai Women

Danish homes are futuristic but also a little wacky. Kids' rooms don't have doors! The beds don't look very comfortable. Would you like to take a shower in a bathroom with only a glass door? I wouldn't! There aren't many decorations or unneccesary furnishings. This particular home was very white. It was characterized by the neatness and organization.

The women in Dubai have maids. The homes are big and the layout is very open. This particular woman's mother-in-law sends her 3 meals a day. They have chefs, helpers, and drivers. All the families are very connected and live close. Basically, many people in Dubai live in what we in America would consider mini mansions.

TMNT

Michaelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael and Donatello - classically the best...ninja turtles! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were introduced in a 3 issue mini series in 1988. After it was widely accepted, a regular series was launched. Soon many mutants and other characters were created.
The 4 main turtles had characteristics like a typical teenager. They were always willing to help in a mischevious, funny way. If there was an adventure to be experienced, they were your turtles for the job! The story lines were deep, although sometimes cheesy (like Caleb..he just hissed). Sometimes the theme seemed more like preaching than informing of the ecological idea based around the comic.
Unfortunately, in 1995 after 7 years of running, the series started slowing down. This just emphasizes how huge this series became, because in the late 1990s, the TMNT still seemed very popular. Do you remember the theme song? I don't. But really people, reflect for a moment. Think about it. Is it starting to drift back into your memory...
Splinter taught them to be ninja teens (He's a radical rat!)
Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines (That's a fact, Jack!)
Raphael is cool but crude (Gimme a break!)
Michaelangelo is a party dude (Party!)

Media Crossing Line

The balloon hoax was so stupid. One has to know from the very first minute of hearing of the "Balloon Boy" that it is not true. The only people who legitimately believed it was true were those who wanted to believe it. People who have no lives and no goals and love to just sit around and believe that a boy was floating through the atmosphere in a balloon.

Swine Flu - way to make everyone freak out. Overrated, exaggerrated, and stupid. The news overplayed this flu by making it seem like the bubonic plague.

Barnes & Noble

First of all, may I say, Barnes and Noble smells really good. I absolutely love the smell of new books. Crisp paper mixed with fresh brewed coffee aroma equals mmmm. Anyways, I got my picture. The staff there didn't kill me, because they didn't see. Hehe.

The store is divided up into many sections. The gifts, calendars, journals, etc are to the left when you first walk in. You'll find the magazines to the right. The music section is in the back right, and the DVD section is in the back left. Audiobooks can be found to the middle right. All books are in between those perimeters.

You can read, buy books, sample music and DVDs, sip Starbucks, or people watch at Barnes and Noble. Donkey Kong Jenga, Killer Bunnies, Life: Wizard of Oz edition, and Star Trek Monopoly are just a few games you can find there. The children's area is, well, childlike. It has a scene from Winnie the Pooh and a shelf dedicated to Dr. Seuss.

The Music and DVD section has two flatscreen TVs with featured titles. All around are headphones and stations where you can sample music or get info on DVDs. The cafe is quite nice. There are plenty of chairs and tables for everyone. The magazine section is highly organized. There are a few chairs to look at them if you wish.

The discount card program gives you 40% off hardcover bestseller, 20% off all adult hardcovers, and 10% on bargain books, music, DVD, cafe purchases and already discounted items. Seems like a good deal to me.

You see a wide range of people there. From nerdy, tree huggers to tough LSU dads whose wife dragged them there. Many are sitting in the cafe, chatting it up or reading some good literature. I like Barnes and Noble. Like I said, it smells good, but I don't go there on a regular basis because it's so far away.

Saved By the Bell Cast - Where are they now?

Hey, hey, hey. *What* is going *on* here? You may recognize this from none other than Mr. Belding. The Saved By the Bell principal had a sweet yet stern side back when he was at Bayside, but where is he now? And what are all the other cast members up to?
Let's begin with my favorite, Zack Morris. He ruled the school at Bayside with his oh so charming ways. But his life after Saved by the Bell went a little...eh. He has had roles from NYPD Blue, Commander in Chief, and Raising the Bar, but nothing really special. Girls, just remember him as the blonde haired hottie who sometimes tried a little too hard.
And then there's Kelly Kapowski. The target of Zack's attention. I'm sure we all remember her as the sweet and innocent cheerleader, don't be fooled. Since SBB, she has become quite a bit more racy in photo shoots, ahem, and in her role in 90210.
Screech Screech Screech... the lovable nerd. Well, he's not so lovable anymore. In fact he's obnoxious and creepy now. He has starred a few unmentionables and tried to lose a few pounds during his experience on Clebrity Fit Club. It DIDn't work.
Then you have the "Screech Hater", Lisa. After Saved by the Bell she made guest appearances on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Star Trek. For all you nerdy Star Trek enthusiasts, like Mrs. Diaz, I'll give you the specific episode Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Jessie - the nagging feminist. She may have won the affection of Slater, but she just got on my nerves. I mean, geez. However, to no suprise at all, in real life she is quite the feminist. Apparently she doesn't mind shedding most her clothes in roles like "Showgirls". Need I say anything else? Soon she may be starring on MTV.
And then there's Slater. Gorgeous, muscular, hunky... (um) Slater. He now is the hist of America's Best Dance Crew. He is also the new host of Extra and relishes the title of "Hottest Bachelor". Big suprise.
So there ya go. That's where our impressionable Saved by the Bell cast is now! Not very impressing huh? Sawee.

Buried Treasure - Paper Planes - Project Rescue

A jobless man on welfare found treasure worth millions. He bought a used metal detector for 6 dollars and used it to find the treasure in central Enland. It is the greatest Anglo Saxon treasure discovery ever. Terry Hebert found 11 pounds of gold and 5 pounds of silver. He will split the profit 50-50 with the land owner of the field in which the treasure was found.

A young boy takes flying paper planes very seriously! He exercizes everyday to build up his arm muscles. He hopes to go to Japan to break the record - 17 seconds. He also hopes to be an ispiration to other children.

The purpose is to provide a safe haven for women and children who have been victims of human trafficking. It helps the victims spiritually, emotionally, and physically to heal while ministering to them. We can raise awareness of sexual trafficking and donate money.

Global Issues

Better World Books is a [for-profit[ social enterprise that collects used books and sells them online to raise money for literacy initiatives worldwide. They offer great bargains on used books - over 6 million used and new titles. When you buy used books, you save them from landfill and conserve resources.

Lisa Ling found support through Facebook. Her sister, Laura Ling, was captured in North Korea with Euna Lee. Many people on Facebook reached out to Lisa and showed her optism through her tough time. Her story was shown on Oprah...of course!

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore made a New Year's resolution to get "in front" of one specific cause. This cause is to be abolitionists for 21st century slavery and human trafficking. They will back up Barak Obama towards the same goal. They are doing a great thing and will strive to get rid of sexual exploitation in children.

Toms shoes was founded for one goal: to give children without a pair of shoes. For every pair of shoes purchased, a pair is given to a child in need. Blake Mycoskie founded TOMS shoes in 2006. TOMS has given over 140,000 pairs of shoes.
They plan on giving around 300,000 in 2009 alone. I think TOMs choes is a great organization. I plan on purchasing some one day soon hopefully. The Press link tells of major magazines and press that support or have advertised TOMs shoes.
